This is the first of a series of “Share your Stack” posts which will explore what various high level humans use to assist their body and mind in achieving extra-ordinary feats
We’ve known Andreas Theodorou for years and we’ve collaborated in the past. We’ve always been a big fan of his as it’s rare to meet someone so dedicated to their sport and someone who chose the difficult route of going PRO. This is why we’re always happy to support this guy whatever mountain he might be rocketing down 🚀
1. Name / Age / Where you’re from?
I’m Andreas Theodorou, 32, from Nicosia, Cyprus.
2. What do you ride & how often?
Bike + weekly training split.
I’m a professional downhill mountain bike racer. I train 4-5 times a week in the gym, and 5-6 times a week on the bike.
3. Morning routine — what do you take & why?
Supplements before/during rides.
Early morning wake up, breakfast, Omega 3 fish oil for muscle growth & recovery as well as brain health & mental function, and BCAA or electrolytes during training for better hydration.
4. Post-ride stack — what’s in it?
Recovery + hydration + anything else.
Post training protein shake with creatine & glutamine to help muscle growth and proper recovery. Sometimes when feeling fatigued I’ll also take Beta-Alanine to help speed up the recovery process.
5. Nighttime — what helps you wind down?
Sleep support / joint recovery.
Nighttime essential is Magnesium Bisglycinate! Really helps to calm down the nerves and have a good, quality sleep and properly recover for the next day.
6. How do these supplements help your riding?
Performance, focus, recovery!
The supplements I use are all for improving my overall performance for both the bike and the gym. Sometimes training just isn’t enough. The most important thing is being able to recover properly for back to back sessions that last weeks and months.
7. Favourite product from our shop?
As I’m one of those guys who struggle with sleeping well and resting properly I would say the Magnesium Bisglycinate is my favourite one.
8. What’s your advice to new riders?
One line of wisdom.
Set small and achievable goals, and keep showing up consistently! Discipline over motivation mindset will get you much further that you could even imagine.
